Flori Lang

Born as a water lover , my journey began with parent-child swimming, accompanied by my grandmother, via the classic route of swimming school and swimming club.

As a 5-year-old , sitting in front of the television, admiring the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Seoul , the desire to one day take part in the games was born .

This came true in Beijing in 2008 .

In addition to this dream, I was able to take home numerous national titles and several international medals , call myself European champion and world record holder in finswimming and am still the national benchmark in sprints over 50m, both on my stomach and on my back .

All of this would be insignificant without the acquaintances and experiences of my friends, coaches, helpers, sponsors and fellow competitors . Relationships that still shape my satisfaction today.

With the ringing of the church bells in 2012, I completed a journey and began a new important one, that of marriage. I also changed professionally and was able to gain wonderful experiences at Zurich Insurance , which took me through various positions in the company for almost 10 years .

I repeatedly felt the need to share my experiences from sport with others . As a volunteer managing director of the Limmat Sharks swimming school , as a mentor for young athletes or a swimming coach for employees , the passion remained.

I want more , because the vision and mission describe a situation that needs change . And here the story continues with swimming...
